Cops meet to resolve tension at Kalamassery

KOCHI: To bring the situation under control after the clash between Cusat students and the locals at Kalamassery, the Kochi city police on Friday convened a meeting with the student representatives and Cusat officials to bring in certain regulations to change the timings of students and shops operating on the premises.The police said that the meeting decided to ask the university officials to enforce strict time restrictions for the hostel students. The shops near the university premises will be directed to shut down by 10 pm.
