Corbett Tiger Reserve gets new eco-tourism centre
'Dhela' eco-tourism zone will become functional from December 1 where tourists and wildlife lovers can also enjoy nature trail from January 1 next year, state forest minister Dinesh Agrawal said.

Dehradun: An eco-tourism centre will be opened at Corbett Tiger Reserve this season, offering a nature trail for the wildlife enthusiasts.

'Dhela' eco-tourism zone will become functional from December 1 where tourists and wildlife lovers can also enjoy nature trail from January 1 next year, state forest minister Dinesh Agrawal said.

The centre will be an addition to the five zones already operational at the reserve, namely, Dhikala, Lohachaud, Sonanadi, Jhirna and Bijrani, he added.

Over two lakh tourists including 5,262 from abroad visited Corbett Tiger Reserve last year and the state earned a revenue of Rs 7.5 crore, Agrawal said.

The zones are opened every year for tourists on November 15.
