HYDERABAD: The Special CBI court on Thursday dismissed the CBI petition seeking to conduct narco analysis test on V Vijay Sai Reddy, the key accused in Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s alleged illegal assets case.Magistrate B Naga Maruthi Sharma stated conducting narco analysis test is violating the law and recalled that the High Court, which also dismissed the CBI petition seeking narco analysis test on Satyam Computers founder B Ramalinga Raju.The narco test on Vijay Sai will help to collect further evidence and to bring out entire truth and unearth the modus operandi used in commission of the fraud as the accused was having exclusive knowledge on the manner in which the crime was committed, the CBI had alleged. “The test will enable to know where the money earned by quid-pro-quo was parked,” CBI had said adding Vijay Sai had not fully divulged certain crucial information and was evasive in his replies.Opposing the CBI’s plea, Susheel Kumar, counsel for Vijay Sai Reddy told the court that the CBI has no right to conduct such tests without the consent of the accused.Government asked to continue security cover for vijay sai’s familyHYDERABAD: Justice R Subhash Reddy of the High Court on Thursday directed the state government to continue providing police security to family members of V Vijay Sai Reddy. Dealing with a writ petition filed by Vijay Sai Reddy’s wife Sunanda Reddy and his daughter, the judge passed an interim order by directing the government to continue the security cover which was withdrawn recently.The petitioners complained that the security given to Vijay Sai Reddy was even extended to family members and continued even after his arrest on January 2.However, the security was unilaterally withdrawn on January 12. They said there was no response from the government to representations that there was a threat perspective to the family
