KASARGOD: The CPM’s decision to put off discussions on V S Achuthanandan’s future in the party until after the by-election was out of fear of losing polls in Neyyattinkara, said KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala at a press conference in Kanhangad on Sunday. “The people in the state will never vote for a party whose senior leaders are divided,” he said. “VS’ argument that ‘everybody knows the real traitor’ has made it clear that the party is on the verge of crisis. And the CPM state secretary’s dictatorship in the party has caused the division,” he added. The KPCC president also raised the question whether the CPM was ready to put an end to its bloody politics, which  claimed the life of T P Chandrashekharan in Onjiyam. He also announced that he would observe fast on May 17 in Vadakara in protest against the violent politics. The fourth day of the Sneha Sandesha Yatra started from Bakel was received at Kanhangad. Transport and Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed inaugurated the public meeting at Kanhangad. M C Jose presided over the meeting.  Health Minister V S Shivakumar and Kannur MLA Abdullakutty also spoke.
