New Delhi: To give a fillip to pilgrim tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, spiritual leader Dalai Lama will visit Buddhist places on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday.
The Dalai Lama will visit Amabaran, an ancient Buddhist place, in Akhnoor border belt, Health and Horticulture minister Sham Lal Sharma said on Tuesday.
He will also address a gathering of school children in Akhnoor, he said adding his visit would give a boost to pilgrim tourism in Jammu division.
The security arrangements have also been beefed up in view of Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama's visit.
The Dalai Lama is also scheduled to inaugurate a photo exhibition on Ambaran Buddhist site in Akhnoor.
