'DDLJ' leads the race for the 'Greatest Film' title: Poll
'3 Idiots' is running on the second spot while 1975 classic 'Sholay' is fighting hard to maintain its third place.

New Delhi: Aditya Chopra's 1995 film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' is leading the race to become the Greatest Hindi film in a poll conducted by History channel in collaboration with TV18. The poll is a part of the celebration of 100 years of Indian cinema. 'DDLJ' starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles.

Raj Kumar Hirani's 2009 film '3 Idiots' is running on the second spot while 1975 classic 'Sholay' is fighting hard to maintain its third spot.

The films following 'DDLJ', '3 Idiots' and 'Sholay' are 'Lagaan', 'Anand', 'Mother India' and 'Mughal-E-Azam'.

The other films which took part in the poll are 'Guide', 'Pyaasa', 'Deewar', 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', 'Chupke Chupke', 'Kaagaz Ke Phool', 'Arth', 'Awara', 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron', 'Amar Akbar Anthony', 'Pakeezah', 'Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam' and 'Do Bigha Zameen'.
