New Delhi: Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has bagged two awards at the World Airport Awards 2015 in Paris.
The two awards, The Best Airport in Central Asia/India and Best Airport Staff in Central Asia/India to IGIA would help it in further enhancing the passenger experience, a Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) release said on Monday.
It was organised by Skytrax in the french capital last week.
DIAL, which operates the IGIA airport here, is a joint venture between the Airports Authority of India and GMR-group led consortium.
The 2015 World Airport Awards were based on 13.02 million survey questionnaires completed by 112 different nationalities of airline customers, carried out from May 2014 to January 2015 across 550 airports world-wide.
Some of the prominent parameters include ease of access, cleanliness, comfort, and retail, entertainment ambience of the terminal and courtesy and friendliness shown by the airport staff.
