Disappearance Day of ISKCON preacher on Thursday

BHUBANESWAR: ISKCON devotees in Orissa and world over will observe the 5th disappearance day of Bhakti Swarup Damodar Swami Srila Gurudev on Thursday.Bhakti Swarup Damodar was a scientist, spiritualist, and philosopher besides a preacher of Krishna consciousness. Besides inaugurating the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust at Chandrasekharpur here, he laid the foundation of ISKCON Gundicha Temple here.He was born in 1937 at Imphal and passed away in Kolkata on this day. ISKCON founder Srila Prabhupada initiated him to the society in 1971 at New Dwarika ISKCON Temple.
