District Revenue Sports meet concludes

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: District revenue sports meet concluded here on a high note with Thiruvananthapuram North sub-district edging past Thiruvananthapuram South by a slender margin of two points.    The meet, by the evening had kept the spectators and participants on their toes as the margin between the sub- districts descended to just two points.  North sub-district had amassed nine gold, seven silver and 14 bronze to reach the top of the score chart,while the South managed to grab five gold,11 silver and 7 bronze medals to emerge as runners-up.Neyyattinkara sub-district which scored 71 points finished third. In the boys sub-junior category, Vijith M of St.Mary’s HSS, Vettukad, clinched two gold and a silver to emerge as the individual champion. Sterina Joseph of Holy Angel’s Convent HS with a triple gold haul was the lone contender for the title in the girl’s category. In the junior boys category,Twinkle Tomy of SAI, with three gold medal shaul in the track events, was adjudged the individual champion. Suji S Rani of GV Raja School and Arunima M M and Anju A S, both from SAI emerged winners of the individual championships.   In the senior girls genre, Vidya U V of GV Raja with her triple yellow medal haul clinched the individual champion title, while Akesh Kumar V K of GV Raja Sports School bagged the same in the boy’s category.
