BANGALAORE: Two friends, who were reportedly in love with the same girl, quarrelled and the brawl ended in the murder of one of them. The incident took place in Adepete in Nelamangala on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday.The victim Afroz Khan alias Appu, 22, a resident of Islampura in Nelamangala, was a mechanic. The accused has been identified as his friend Kaiser, who was working at a tent house.According to the police, the duo were friends from many years and were had developed feelings towards the same girl. Also, the duo was aware of each other’s feelings towards the girl. This had led to quarrel between the duo. On Tuesday around 11.30 pm, Kaiser saw Afroz at a hotel near a tent located in their locality. He allegedly picked up a quarrel with him and the duo engaged in a heated argument. In a fit of rage, Kaiser took a grinding stone and smashed Afroz’s head, killing him on the spot. Soon, he fled the scene. Nelamangala police have registered a murder case and are on the look out for the accused.
