HYDERABAD: Emaar-MGF Land Private Limited's former chief executive officer Srikanth Joshi, one of the accused in the Emaar-APIIC scam case, is said to have confessed to the CBI that they had collected excess money from the buyers of villas in the integrated township at Gachibowli over and above the documented rate of Rs 5,000 per square yard in connivance with various persons .Sources indicated that Joshi is likely to turn an approver in the case. During interrogation by the CBI, Joshi spilled the beans on various aspects of the scam and other irregularities that took place during the sale of villas of Emaar-APIIC. Mumbai-based Joshi, the current chief executive officer of Larsen & Toubro in Mumbai, appeared before the investigation agency here on Monday as per court direction. He filed a petition in the special CBI court seeking anticipatory bail. While allowing the petition, the court granted five-day police custody of him from March 5 to March 9. In the presence of his two advocates, CBI officials grilled Joshi at Dilskusha Guest House for a couple of hours. Earlier, Tummala Ranga Rao, managing director of Stylish Homes Private Limited, had turned an approver.
