BELLARY: In the wake of strictures passed by Karnataka HC over the failure to serve non-bailable warrants against mining magnate and state Tourism Minister G Janardhana Reddy, two policemen in the district were today suspended for ‘derlicition of duty’.Inspector Umesh and Constable Satyanarayana were suspended by the District Superintendent of Police for deriliction of duty as they failed to serve the NBW issued by a court in Sandur against Janardhana Reddy nine times for his appearance in the court. The court issued the summons since 2006 on a complaint filed by Tumti Iron ore company alleging Reddy’s involvement in destruction of boundary marks on Karnataka-Andhra Pradesh border in Tumti- Malpanagudi area.When police informed the court that the accused had not been accessible, it had rapped the police for not tracing a minister. The NBW was later served on Reddy.
