Five films that showcase live-in relationship

New Delhi: Recently released 'Shuddh Desi Romance' is receiving praise from the critics and the spectators. Director Maneesh Sharma's film that stars Parineeti Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput and Vaani Kapoor, is generating good revenue as well. The film is a humorous take on the young generation's mindset towards the institution of marriage. It ultimately brings up live-in as the solution of such a confusing scenario. Salaam Namaste: Siddharth Anand's film was probably the first Bollywood film that put so much stress on the arrangements of live-in relationships. Though the film belonged to Deepika Padukone for her inhibited performance but Saif Ali Khan turned out to be a great support for the narrative. The film probes about the mindset of typical Indian families towards bold and 'liberated' women.

I, Me Aur Main: Bollywood has explored the concept of live-in relationships in a few films and Kapil Sharma's 'I, Me Aur Main' is one of them. The film revolves around a charismatic bachelor who is commitment phobic and is not ready to take the responsibility of his pregnant girlfriend. The film explores the concept of commitment.

Shuddh Desi Romance: The latest to join the bandwagon is 'Shuddh Desi Romance'. The film tells the story of three youngsters who are not mentally prepared to settle down in life. Their confusion paves way for a great heartache but they learn to deal with it.
