Handwara: Four terrorists have been killed in an encounter with security forces in a village in Handwara in Jammu and Kashmir. One para commando has also been killed in the gunbattle. The encounter is still underway.
This encounter comes a day after an Army jawan and a terrorist were killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Ladoora village in Rafiabad in Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir.
The terrorists engaged in the gunbattle on Wednesday are said to have been associated with terror group - Lashkar-e-Islam - the outfit that recently targeted cellphone operators in the valley.
Rafiabad is the same area from where security personnel had captured second Pakistan terrorist Sajjad Hussain alive on August 28. Sajjad was captured on August 28 following an overnight encounter near the Line of Control (LoC).
