CHENNAI: Iyyappan (49), a PMK functionary, died in the hospital on Monday after he was reportedly attacked by a gang. Iyyappan , a resident of Tsunami Kudiyiruppu, New Washermenpet, was reportedly intercepted and hacked by a gang over an eve-teasing dispute on Saturday. The gang surrendered before the Egmore Court.Labourer murdered Anish (21) of Ambattur, a daily wager, died in a hospital after he was allegedly beaten up by the owners of a house for taking alcohol in front of their place at Aminjikarai on Monday, police said.Woman ends life A woman committed suicide after her husband went missing following a quarrel at Korukkupet on Monday. Police said Kumar, a habitual drunkard, used to fight with his wife frequently.
