Goats worth around Rs 10 lakh were stolen from a Noida farmhouse at Sector 135, leaving the trader in a state of shock

In an unusual incident, more than a dozen goats worth about Rs 10 lakhs were stolen from a Noida-based trader residing at a farmhouse in Sector 135. The theft took place on the intervening night of August 7 and 8 and between 3:30 am and 4:00 am, leaving both the goat trader and local authorities in shock.

The trader has been identified as Abuzar alias Kamal. He reported the theft of more than a dozen goats from his Green Beauty Farm No. 5, 6, 7. According to his complaint, the thieves managed to break into the enclosure of his farm by tampering with the lock and latch at the gate before fleeing off with ten goats.

The goats, of a particularly expensive breed, are valued at approximately Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 each. Top police officials have confirmed that a case has been registered at the Police Station Expressway, and a probe team has been formed to track down the culprits.

The police are optimistic that the case will be resolved soon, given the scale of the theft and the potential for identifying suspects. The theft has stirred significant concern among local residents and authorities alike, highlighting the need for heightened vigilance and security measures for properties in the region.

Earlier in July, a similar theft took place when seven goats, each worth about Rs 1 lakh, were stolen from the same farmhouse.
