CHENNAI: Understanding of god:I personally feel God is that one concept that is beyond our comprehension. I certainly do not possess or never will have the maturity to understand God. All I can do is just believe and one day, if I am fortunate enough, I might get an opportunity to catch a glimpse of him.Faith in miracles:Definitely! In a certain sense, I feel I’m living proof of that. Things that have happened in my life so far have been nothing less than a miracle! In my view, they are instances that humble you and enable you to strive harder.Belief in meditation:I believe that there are only two ways of attaining enlightenment, one — sit in one place and meditate and two — travel the world. Right now, I’m in the second mode. However, the first step is not far behind.Spiritual practices:If reading, listening to music and doing theatre qualify as spiritual practices. then yes, I am a practitioner. Otherwise, I’m just one among many who find the term ‘spiritual practices’ vague.Favourite pilgrimage spots:Nothing in particular. Though I enjoy the occasional trips to Tirupati and absolutely adore the Mahabalipuram rock temples, my most favorite pilgrimage spot would be ‘the stage’. There’s no better liberating experience than getting on stage and performing. According to me, it is the closest to attaining enlightenment!(Harish Adithya is the director of Play about Death and has acted in plays staged by various theatre companies including The Madras Players and Evam.)
