The state commission for protection of child rights has issued a notice, seeking a probe into the incident.
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, eight children were allegedly tortured by the caretaker of one of the Shishugrih (nursery schools) run by Telangana government under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) programme.
The incident took place in Mankammathota town of Karimnagar district. At around 8 pm on April 15, a helper heated a spoon on a gas stove and branded the children one by one.
Taking cognisance of the incident, the state commission for protection of child rights also issued a notice to the collector of Karimnagar district, seeking a probe into the incident.
