HYDERABAD: Governor ESL Narasimhan, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and the opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday greeted the people of the state on the eve of Diwali saying that the festival of lights brings happiness in the lives of people.Governor ESL Narasimhan in a message said that the festival of lights signifies the victory of righteousness over the evil. He hoped that occasions like this inspire us to conquer the evils of modern day and build a society in which peace, amity and communal harmony prevail.Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in his greetings said :“It lights up one’s mind, and burns away ego, jealousy, anger, lust and greed. Let the whole year be a brighter year for all of us,” he said.In a separate communique wishing all the Telugus across the globe on the occasion of Diwali, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu hoped that the festival of lights brings happiness to one and all. He urged people from all walks of life to work in unison and contribute their mite for the development of the state.
