Notice served to sacked, suspended doctors to vacate their hostel.
New Delhi: Gujarat state government has decided to crack the whip on the striking Gujarat doctors.
It has been a week since doctors struck work.
123 doctors have been sacked and over 500 suspended. The government has served notices to the sacked and suspended doctors to vacate their hostel.
Medical interns had returned to work on Monday, but the junior doctors continued their strike. Invoking the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA), the government has so far suspended 538 and issued notices to some 1800 doctors across the state to return to work.
The striking doctors could also be barred from registering for PG courses anywhere in the country.
