The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Friday issued notices to four BJP MLAs, including the state's Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, to respond to petitions challenging their elections last year.
The other three MLAs are Neena Verma (Dhar), Ranjana Baghel (Manwar) and Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap (Ratlam). Vijayvargiya represents Mahu constituency.
Some of the petitioners include the candidates who lost.
The petitions accuse the four MLAs of malpractices during the election campaigns.
Justice Prakash Srivastav of Indore bench, who issued the notices, sought the responses from all the four MLAs.
