IOS maintained they had an exclusive contract with Vijender till 2015.
New Delhi: Olympic medalist boxer Vijender Singh's mega bucks deal with Percept is well and truly on after a Delhi High court ruling in his favour.
Vijender the first Indian boxer to win medals at the Olympics and the world championships was taken to court by sports management firm Infinity Optimal Solutions (IOS) for breach of contract.
IOS maintained they had an exclusive contract with Vijender till 2015 and as a result he could not sign the deal with Percept.
A single bench of the Delhi High Court though ruled that IOS's agreement curtailed the liberty of the boxer and dismissed the petition.
Percept had signed on Vijender in a deal worth about a whopping Rs 6 crore to promote the genre of action sports.
