HC seeks GO copy on cops shoe prices

HYDERABAD: In another case, the division bench directed petitioner A Pavan Kumar to file a copy of the GO pertaining to price fixation for purchase of shoes for the state's police personnel. The case was adjourned to March 5, 2012.
The petitioner sought a direction from the bench to the authorities for not initiating action against senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar for his alleged involvement in irregularities in purchase of logistics and provisions to policemen when he was the additional directorgeneral of police (provisions and logistics). The vigilance and enforcement authorities had probed the matter, he said.The chief justice directed the petitioner to submit copies of the relevant GO, audit and vigilance reports.
