Starting Friday, for four days, God’s Own Country would be available for tourists, in an all-new perspective. Air Tours, a company specialising in Helicopter Tourism, will launch two tourism packages on helicopters in the state.
The packages are being formulated in association with Kerala Travel Mart. The first package includes a 15-minute helicopter ride over Mulanthuruthy, Aroor, Willingdon Island, Fort Kochi, Bolgatty Palace, Vallarpadom, Vypeen, Chittoor, Kakkanad and Tripunithura.
The charges for this package will be Rs 5,800 per person. The second package will include Tripunithura, Vaikom, Kumarakom, Pathiramanal, Mararikulam Beach, Kumbalangi and Cherthala, charged at Rs 8,800 per person.
“The advantage of Helicopter Tourism is that it is highly flexible in terms of height. You can go up to 1,000 metres and also brush past the sea water. Paragliding and parasailing and other larger packages will be introduced later,” said Shoby T Paul, CEO, Air Tours.
