CHENNAI: DVAC sleuths, on Monday, arrested Tilaga, a government officer in charge of a children’s welfare home at Purasawalkam after a woman, Shanti (35) lodged a plaint that the officer had demanded a bribe to issue a certificate for releasing her daughter from the home. Tilaga allegedly demanded Rs 5,000 and a refrigerator for issuing the certificate.
