New Delhi: The selfie mania is spreading and Huwaei has been quick to jump in and take advantage of this new self-photography obsession. Huawei announced its new flagship the Ascend P7 and one of the highlights of the smartphone is its 8 megapixel front camera. The phone also comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera.
To further enhance the abilities of its front camera, Huawei has included a groufie (group selfie) feature that includes a panorama function for panoramic selfie shooting.
Huwaei says the 6.5mm slim Ascend P7 is one of the slimmest 4G LTE smartphones around. Another element that sets the phone a little apart from others is the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection even for the rear cover. According to Huawei the rear of the phone has a 'spin effect' micro-pattern design. LG had previously experimented with innovative rear designs but had to discontinue following complaints of breakages.
Ascend P7 has a 5-inch FHD display with 1920x1080 resolution, 445ppi and 16:9 aspect ratio. A 2500 mAh lithium polymer battery powers the P7.
The P7 includes 16 GB internal memory and 2 GB RAM and at its heart is a Hisilicon Kirin 910T quad-core 1.8GHz processor.
The phone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Huawei Emotion UI 2.3 atop.
Huawei has priced the Ascend P7 at 449 euros (approximately Rs 37,500) and is going on sale this month, though the company hasn't released any information of the Ascend P7's India launch yet.
