New Delhi: A passenger train will run between India and Bangladesh after more than four decades.
The Bangladesh cabinet, led by interim chief Fakhruddin Ahmed approved the train link between Joydevpur near Dhaka and Sealdah in West Bengal.
The approval is seen as a positive signal ahead of the SAARC summit in Delhi next week.
Train services were suspended after the 1965 war with Pakistan and at that time Bangladesh was a part of Pakistan.
