Mumbai: Filmmaker Yash Chopra has left a song incomplete from the upcoming 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and Katrina Kaif, who was to feature with Shah Rukh Khan in the romantic song, is disappointed that she did not get to experience the iconic moment.
Chopra, who had finished shooting the film, was to shoot a portion of the song in Switzerland, a place famous in his movies, with Katrina in white chiffon sari designed by Manish Malhotra. But Chopra got admitted to hospital due to dengue on October 13 and passed away on October 21. Now the remaining small sequence from the song will not be shot.
"It is little bit sad that we did not get to shoot it (the song). We had decided ...zeroed in on what I would be wearing ...as in which sari out of the 12 designed. I remember him (Yash Chopra) saying it will be like a party when we shoot the sequence of the song in Switzerland," Katrina said at a press conference organised in connection with the film.
"We had planned the sequence for the song. It's unfortunate we were not able to do it," said Katrina, who worked with Chopra for the first time. Shah Rukh Khan, who worked with Chopra in films like 'Darr', 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai' and 'Veer Zaara', was not in favour of completing the song.
"It was just minute and half of the song that was left to be shot. He wanted to do it in Switzerland. None of us feel that we should do it (the song); it will be making it impure," Shah Rukh said. Directed by Chopra, the film is being released on November 13.
