HYDERABAD: Keeping in view the ongoing developments surrounding the Telangana issue, YSR (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu) Congress party leader and Kadapa MP-elect YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is of the view not to take a clear cut decision on the contentious issue at his party’s maiden three-day plenary session to be held at Idupulapaya estate in Kadapa from July 7. Instead, he intends to throw the T ball into the Centre’s court.According to party sources, Jagan is expected to make an announcement at the party’s plenary that he would abide by whatever decision the UPA government takes on Telangana. He may blame the Centre responsible for the prevailing ‘uncertainty’ in Andhra Pradesh. In all, he will take the opportunity to spell out his party’s stand by telling that it will be pro-poor with special focus on farmers and agricultural labour. Besides, he will make a special mention of the issues concerning Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (youth, working class and farmers). The three-day plenary session will coincide with the 62nd birth anniversary of his father and former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy falling on July 8. Party’s programmes and policies on various public issues will be announced at the plenary. A public meeting is also being planned on the last day of the session.
