Jagannath Sena drags Revenue Secretary to Court

PURI: Jagannath Sena convenor Priyadarshan Patnaik has filed a complaint against Principal Secretary Revenue R K Sharma in the SDJM court.Patnaik in his petition alleged that Sharma’s comments on Swargadwar had hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus. Sharma on November 22 had said that the cremation ground did not exist prior to 1985 and there were no encroachments.  The petitioner had earlier sent a seven-day legal notice to Sharma asking him to tender a public apology.“The statement made by me was based on records,’’ Sharma said adding he is yet to receive the notice.
