Shopian: In a brief shootout, terrorists on Friday opened fire at a police officer in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
The gunmen opened fire on a policeman guarding Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Kachdoora in Shopian, resulting in injuries to constable Sartaj Ahmad, a police official said.
The ultras decamped with the service rifle of the injured cop, who has been rushed to a hospital.
Security forces have launched an operation to track down the gunmen, the official said.
