Jordan: The annual import of artificial sexual enhancers has crossed $2 million in Jordan, where more than half of men above the age of 30 suffer from impotency and other sexual problems.
In 2009, Jordanians were reported to have spent about 1.5 million Jordanian dinars (about $2.2 million) on imported sexual enhancers, a report filed by Xinhua news agency quoting official figures said.
Around 2,50,000 packets of sexual performance enhancers were imported into the kingdom, the report which was released by the state-run Jordan Food and Drug Administration on Sunday, said.
A study by Jordan University for Science and Technology indicated that 51 per cent of Jordanian men above the age of 30 suffer from sexual problems, including impotence. According to Jordan's Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Genetics, 63 per cent of Jordanian men who are diagnosed with diabetes have sexual problems.
