This meticulously planned schedule promises a day of spiritual significance and public engagement for the Prime Minister in Ayodhya.

In a much-anticipated visit, the Prime Minister is set to spend an extensive five hours in Ayodhya, marking a significant day filled with auspicious ceremonies and public engagements.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to oversee the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony, preceding which he is adhering to a rigorous 11-day ‘anushthan’ or special ritual. This ritual involves practices such as sleeping on the floor and consuming coconut water.

PM Modi has been actively involved in the Ram Temple movement since 1990 and played a pivotal role in orchestrating the Rath Yatra of former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani.

Since its inception in 1980, the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has remained a core priority for the BJP, constituting a substantial component of the party’s election agenda.

10:25 AM: Arrival at Ayodhya Airport

10:55 AM: Helicopter arrival at Ram Janambhoomi Premises

11:00 AM12:00 PM: Exploration of Ram Janambhoomi Premises, potential area tour, and Jap session

12:00 PM: Over 8000 special invitees to be seated inside the premises before Garbhriha; they are required to arrive by 10 AM

12:05 PM – 12:55 PM: Pran Pratishthan ceremony, including the opening of Ram Lalla’s eyes, PM applying Kajal, and showcasing a mirror to Ram Lalla

12:55 PM: Helicopter-led Pushp Varsha on the temple

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Public speeches by PM, Mohan Bhagwat, and Yogi Adityanath

2:10 PM: PM at Shiv Mandir on Kuber Tila inside Ram Janambhoomi Premises; a refurbished ramp allows pilgrims to visit Kuber Tila and Shiv temple

3:30 PM: Expected departure from Ayodhya

Significance of Kuber Tila:

The itinerary includes a visit to Kuber Tila, a place steeped in mythology. Described in ancient traditions as Shri Navratna, this site holds an ancient Shivalinga. It is believed that Mahadev has been present near the birthplace of Shri Ram since time immemorial. Additionally, Shri Kuber, the incarnation of Shri Vishnu, is said to be seated as a symbol of glory and wealth.

Jatayu Statue Tribute:

A noteworthy addition is the Jatayu statue, installed last month at Kuber Tila. Jatayu played a crucial role in the Ramayana, attempting to save Sita from Ravana’s clutches. The Prime Minister may pay his tributes to this bronze statue during the visit.

Security Stepped UP  

As security measures intensified in Ayodhya from Saturday afternoon. Barricades have been set up at the Ram temple site and other key areas like the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in Ayodhya and the entry of vehicles has been restricted as authorities prepare to host a large number of people, including many prominent personalities. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, business tycoons Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, and sporting icon Sachin Tendulkar are among India’s crme de la crme who have been invited as state guests.

Personnel of the UP Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) were patrolling the streets on Saturday. From Dharampath and Rampath, which are witnessing a deluge of devotees from different, to bylanes of the Hanumangarhi area and Asharfi Bhavan road, security personnel can be seen keeping a tight vigil on movements and activities.

Movable barriers with barbed wires were spotted virtually at every prominent crossroad in the temple city, as police use them to regulate traffic, especially during VVIP movements. While about 8,000 people are on the long list of invitees, the 506 A-listers included prominent politicians, leading industrialists, top film stars, sportspersons, diplomats, judges and high priests.
