HUBLI: Veteran journalist Patil Puttappa has taken serious exception over the selection of folk writer Dr Chandrashekhar Kambar for the prestigious Jnanpith Award. He expressed concern that such a great award is being given to someone with no ability.Patil addressed reporters here on Tuesday that he was pained over the selection of Dr Chandrashekar Kambar for the Jnanpith award because there were several other eminent and able litterateurs in Kannada. This reaction by Patil has raised many questions among Kannadigas who are celebrating the eighth Jnanpith award for Kannada language.
