At the muhurat of filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi’s next film titled 'Power' held in a city hotel, the entire cast of the film was introduced to the assembled media. Though the filmmaker did not divulge the plot despite repeated requests from journalists, the lead actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan enacted a scene from the movie on the dias. Santoshi admitted in the end, “It is a movie about the significance of power – the power of money, the power of truth...”
Interestingly, the filmmaker also said that he was pursuing actor Kangana Ranaut to play the lead female role in his film. She however had not given her consent yet. He said, “I already have Ameesha Patel playing Sanjay Dut’s wife. Lekha Washington will be cast opposite Ajay Devgan. I have asked Kangana to play the lead female role but it is not final yet. I have yet to hear back from her.”
So, it was not surprising that Kangana herself turned up at the venue, but towards the end of the press conference. Looking glamorous as usual in a sizzling red tiered dress, she chose to stand alongside the waiting journalists to watch the proceedings on the dias. We wonder if she has already made up her mind.
