THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Managing Director of Dubai Internet City Malek Sultan Al Malek inaugurated the Kerala IT Pavilion at the Gitex Technology Week 2011 which began at the Dubai International Exhibtion and Convention Centre the other day. Kerala IT sector is represented by a three-member senior-level delegation comprising Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander, Infopark CEO Gigo Joseph and Gireesh Babu, Managing Director of Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL), along with the participation of 20 companies from Technopark, Infopark and Cyberpark. Kerala IT is showcasing its IT parks, including Technocity, Kollam Technopark, Infopark Cherthala, Cyberparks at Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasargod and various other investment opportunities in the IT sector across Kerala. Mervin Alexander said: ‘’We are pleased to showcase at GITEX the various investment opportunities in the IT sector in Kerala. There are over 200 companies participating in this show from across the world and we want to use this opportunity to show the unparalleled development the IT sector has undergone in the last few years.’’ Gigo Joseph said that the team would be meeting business organisations from the Middle East and explaining to them in detail about the various opportunities in the IT sector in Kerala.
