KOCHI: Kerala IT pavilion is drawing good crowd at digital industry’s international event ‘CEBIT 2012.’ The event that kick-started on March 6 in Hannover, Germany, was represented by S Srinivas, Special Secretary for IT, Govt of Kerala, Technopark CEO Girish Babu, Infopark CEO, Gigo Joseph, and Technopark senior business development Manager M Vasudevan from Kerala IT.Technopark companies Palnar Technologies and Allianz Cornhill and Infopark companies Arbitron, Clasys Technologies and Suyati Technologies are also participating in the event.Kerala IT, the unified brand developed to promote business opportunities in the field of information technology in the state, will showcase 1000 acres of IT space available in the state, which includes Technopark Phase III, Technocity, Kollam Technopark, Cherthala Infopark, and Cyberparks at Kozhikode and Kannur along with various other investment opportunities in the IT sector across Kerala.Commenting on Kerala IT’s participation in CEBIT, Girish Babu said, “CEBIT is an excellent platform to showcase the strength of Kerala IT and we have been showcasing the various investment opportunities in the IT sector in Kerala.In the past few years, many blue chip firms like Infosys, TCS etc have established their presence in Kerala.The state has witnessed unparalleled development in the IT sector during the past few years and this is what we are presenting at this show.We are receiving positive response from the IT industry and we are very upbeat that some of them would decide to invest in Kerala IT.“We have been meeting business organisations from around the globe and are highlighting details of the various opportunities in the IT/ITES/ BPO sector in Kerala,” said Gigo Joseph
