HYDERABAD: A six-year-old girl, who was kidnapped by an unidentified woman on Wednesday, returned home safely on Thursday with the assistance of police.  According to police, the woman robbed a gold chain from the girl then abandoned her in Saidabad police station limits. The victim, Keerthana, is a 1st class student and lives in Pedda Amberpet in Hayatnagar police station limits. Around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, after the kidnapper abandoned her, Keerthana approached a man standing on the road stating that she was kidnapped by a woman and that she wanted to go to her home. The man contacted Saidabad police. “Keerthana was handed over to us. On coordination with police of various stations, it was found that the girl belonged to Hayatnagar and she was handed over to parents,’’ said G Srinivas Kumar, Hayatnagar inspector. Police formed a special team to nab the woman kidnapper who reached Pedda Amberpet in an auto-rickshaw around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. She lured Keerthana, her friends, Yakub and Sandeep, by offering chocolates and took them along with her in the auto. Around 5 p.m., she dropped Yakub and Sandeep near Hayatnagar bus stop and left the place with Keerthana.
