KKNPP: Wont affect interest in Indias N-market

CHENNAI: The protests against the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant haven’t had any impact on US firms as far as commercial interest in India’s market for nuclear technology is concerned, Pri-ncipal Commercial Officer of the US, Chennai Consulate, James Golsen has said. Addressing a press conference organised by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce here on Wednesday, he said that there was no “perceptible change” among American nuclear technology companies after the protests began in Koodankulam and that the same level of interest prevailed on the Indian market. Golsen said the focus now was to enter cities where the US did not have an embassy in India, and help Indian entrepreneurs develop partnership with those in the US.
