Lightning claims three

DHENKANAL: Three persons died and two were injured after they were struck by lightning at two places in  Dhenkanal on Saturday.A group of women labourers of Kantapal village under Kankadahad block were returning from sugarcane field when lightning struck them. Two of them died on the spot and two others sustained injuries. The deceased have been identified as Laxmi Mahanta (36) and Phula Dehury (45). The injured were admitted to Kamakshynagar sub-divisional hospital. In another incident, one Prafulla Singh died when lightning struck him at Tulasidiha village.
