VISAKHAPATNAM: A man set his wife, mother-in-law and niece afire in their house at Balligattam village of Narsipatnam mandal on Monday night. However, the condition of all three is stated to be stable. Chintagada Varaprasad (30), a resident of Vemulapudi village of Narsipatnam mandal married Dasari Leelavati (28) eight years ago. Two years ago, Leelavati came home to Balligattam to pursue BSc Nursing. While there, Varaprasad started harassing Leelavathi suspecting her fidelity.Varaprasad came to Balligattam on Monday and at around 11.30 pm, he went to Leelavati’s house and set Leelavati, his mother-in-law Chinatalli and Lekhana (8), Leelavati’s niece ablaze and fled. However, locals rescued the trio. Police have registered a case against Varaprasad.
