A few trade unions staged a sit-in at the Jantar Mantar in protest against the sacking of 500 employees from Maruti's Manesar plant.
New Delhi: Even as Maruti Suzuki reopened its plant at Manesar on Tuesday, certain trade unions staged a sit-in at the Jantar Mantar in protest against the sacking of 500 employees from the factory.
The protest was led by Delhi Metro Kamgar Union, which is an independent trade union.
However, Left-affiliated unions and Maruti workers' unions were conspicuous by their absence.
