Melodies and Ecstasies released

KOCHI: Justice V R Krishna Iyer has released ‘Melodies and Ecstasies,’ a book of poems by E X Joseph, senior advocate, Supreme Court. The first copy was received by Excise Minister K Babu in the presence of M K Sanu, P J Joseph and the author.Releasing the book, Justice Krishna Iyer termed it as a contribution to the world of poetry. He hoped that the book will help young people develop  greater interest in poetry. He said poetry and music alone can create a new society.Speaking after receiving the first copy of the book, K Babu said the book will go a long way in developing reading habit among young people. “Through his various social activities and publication of books, E X Joseph is bringing about a positive transformation in Kerala,” he said. Speaking about the book, author Joseph said the blend of music and poetry alone can be the foundation of love and at the same time love alone can be the source of music and poetry.He said that his poems were an effort to share his own experiences with the readers. On the occasion, Sanu said the book is a collection of unforgettable poems. Toc H Educational Institutions president P J Joseph also spoke. The book release was followed by Veena recital by Ganga Menon and a tabla performance by Akshay.
