Raghunandan Kamath grew up in a village Karnataka’s Mangaluru. He learned the art of picking, sorting, and preserving the ripe fruit while helping his father in selling mangoes in his village.
At the young age of 14, he left his studies and joined his brother’s eatery. He dreamt of creating handcrafted ice cream filled with real fruit pulp.
In 1984 Kamath moved to Mumbai and opened his first ice cream parlour with just six staff members and 12 flavours in the suburbs of Juhu. By 1995, he had opened five more outlets due to growing demand. Currently, Naturals Ice Cream has over 165 outlets across 15 cities.
