Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday held a meeting with Singapore Foreign minister K Shanmugam and discussed issues related to building of Nalanda International University and ways to promote tourism.
They discussed issues related to development of Buddhist circuit and tourism in addition to changes taking place in Bihar, an official statement said.
On Singapore minister suggestion that Bihar should have a world class museum to showcase its rich history, Kumar informed him an International museum is being built in Patna, work for which has already started.
Shanmugam told Kumar that Singapore government has all the support for building Nalanda university.
He said the university would be of immense political importance for North-East Asia and Buddhist countries.
The Singapore minister paid a visit to ruins of old Nalanda university and the site of the new International university.
Singapore Acting High Commissioner in India Jonathan Tow and Indian Ambassador in Singapore Gopinath Pillai were present.
