THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Akhilendia Nadar Association general secretary K Vasudevan said that his organisation has not offered its support to any political party or front for the upcoming Neyyatinkara byelection.Addressing mediapersons here on Tuesday, he said that the association will take a decision on whom to vote on the basis of the approach of the candidates and political parties towards the organisation.Vasudevan alleged that the posts allotted to the Nadar community in the ministry and statutory bodies were being provided to the converted Christians who belonged to the minority community. He warned the government not to accommodate anyone from the minority community in the ministerial berth in the name of the Nadar community. He also flayed the move of certain Nadar community organisations to erect the statue of Vaikunda Swami."Instead of erecting a statue, a memorial building in the name of Swami should be set up which would facilitate meditation and research,’’ he opined.Association chairman V Rajeevalochanan, general secretary Neeramankara Vasudevan, Punchakari Surendran and P Sasikumar also were present at the press meet.
