Global Art, a unit of SIP Academy India announced the launch of its 14th centre in the city at Jubilee Hills. The centre was inaugurated by Praveen Kumar, psychiatrist, Apollo Hospitals. Paintings and crafts made by children were also on display at the premises.Young children are highly creative, with a natural tendency to fantasize, experiment, and explore their physical and conceptual environment. Global Art hopes to nurture their creativity by providing an environment that allows children to explore without undue restraints, accepting unusual ideas from them, using creative problem solving, exposing children to diverse experiences, people and objects and emphasizing more on the process than the final product. Creativity and innovation are essential keys to success in today’s rapidly changing world. Process improvement, problem solving, decision making, dealing with limited resources, satisfying customers, and rapidly changing technology are all examples of professional realities that require creative solutions. Hence if children are encouraged to be more creative, they would be able to handle most challenges which life has in store and carve a niche for themselves.Launched by SIP Academy India in 2005, the Global Art programme is a one-of-its-kind international creative art programme for children (5 - 15 years), Global Art has been well received by both students and their parents. Launched in 2005, Global Art has a presence in 5 states with over 65 centres and has benefited over 8,500 children. Global Art is a complete, systematic and efficient art programme aimed to develop the artistic and creative potential of children. The thoroughly researched and structured syllabus aims to provide children with formal yet child friendly art training using creative challenges. According to Krishna Kishore, business head, Global Art: “We at Global Art believe that nurturing creativity in children is vital to their success in all walks of life. In today’s competitive world, creativity will distinguish the winners from the also-rans.” Global Art India students have come up with unique creatives on various themes like ‘Stop Global Warming’, ‘The Wonderful World of Animals’ and more recently on ‘Save the Tigers’ which were exhibited at the 2nd Ministerial Conference organized by the World Wildlife Fund in Bali, Indonesia. Global Art students have also come out with top honours in a lot of art competitions at the local, regional and national level. Global Art successfully hosted India’s first international ‘Kolor Champ’ competition on the theme ‘One World’ in November ’10 at HICC, Hyderabad. More than 750 children representing India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, U.S.A. and Vietnam participated in this event.
