Police to quiz guests present during club brawl

HYDERABAD: The Madhapur police investigating the drunken brawl involving actor Navdeep and engineering students, have asked the management of Excess club at Novotel to provide details of clients present at the watering hole when the incident took place. It is being alleged that the engineering students passed certain comments at Navdeep’s girlfriend which enraged her. Later, Navdeep is alleged to have beaten up one of the students. “The girl had a heated argument with the students after they passed certain comments. When she tried to call Navdeep, the students vanished from the pub.Later, she noticed the students having ice-cream on the road side and told Navdeep when the brawl took place,” police sources said. T Srinu, sub-inspector of Madhapur police station, said they are investigating the case from all angles and have gathered some information. “We have asked the pub management to submit details of customers who gathered for the party,’’ he said. Based on the complaints lodged by both Navdeep and the engineering students, police are investigating the case.Police are likely to question customers who were present at the pub when the trouble broke out. It is learnt the sleuths have already approached a few people who attended the party and collected some details about the incident.
