Several people were trapped after a portion of a house collapsed in Delhi on Wednesday. The incident was reported at nearly 09.11 am today.
A total of five fire tenders rushed to the spot as soon as they received information about the incident.
Visuals from the spot showed chaos, as locals helped in rescue efforts.
There were no reports of any casualties.
According to the Delhi Police, a total of six people were so far rescued from under the debris of the collapsed building.
A few others were also rescued from nearby buildings.
Heavy rain lashed parts of Delhi and the NCR on Tuesday evening. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain cloudy and the national capital is likely to receive “moderate” rainfall during the day on Wednesday.
