HYDERABAD: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu has demanded that the government which cannot handle power sector properly, should quit. Taking part in a protest programme organised by the party at Ganganpahad power sub-station in Rangareddy district, the former chief minister said that the Congress which has been steeped in corruption had pushed the state to the brink of a disaster and the hike in power tariff was only one indication to the deeper malaise. When the TDP was in power, the state had no difficulty as the government could supply quality power meeting the requirements of the people. Naidu claimed that the TDP had never failed to supply 9 hours of power to farmers despite three successive years of drought. He said that the state government’s lack of vision was responsible for the present power crisis. The TDP chief said that investments would come to the state only if there is enough power supply. If there are investments, there would be jobs, he said.He lashed out at YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for saying that the TDP had tacit understanding with  the Congress. He said the TDP ever since its inception had been fighting against the Congress.Naidu challenged him to disclose properties that he and his family members have possessed since 2004. He alleged that Jagan had amassed Rs.1 lakh crore assets.
